President Sargsyan awards “Intel”
On June 28, an award-giving ceremony for contribution to the filed of Information Technologies was held at the RA president's residence.
Craig R. Barrett, Chairman of Intel Corporation's Board of Directors received 2009 presidential prize for outstanding contribution to the IT sphere. After the official ceremony, President Sargsyan had a private conversation with Mr. Craig Barrett, followed by luncheon in honour of Mr. and Ms. Barretts.
President's award-giving ceremony for the contribution in IT sphere started on July 6, 2009 and was aimed at promoting the sphere.
The award consists of a unique Gold Medal, Diploma and trophy evoking Armenia and high tech. It honors a Laureate who has made extraordinary contributions to humanity through advancing the world of IT . The financing is realized by a cooperation memorandum signed between the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, Synopsys Armenia CJSC and benefactor.
