Why isn’t the prosecutor’s office responding?
"Heritage" faction MP Anahit Bakhshyan has presented a message regarding a crime to the RA Prosecutor General.
Message about the crime
"The society and the Head of the Center for Knowledge Assessment and Testing ("Outflow before the exams", "Aravot" newspaper, 9 June 2010) state that there was an outflow of this year's main school-leaving exams, which were sold and some graduates received false high grades by using the tests during the exams.
The main criminal is the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia which did not reveal the crime or the criminals last year, didn't penalize them and contributed to the ongoing radicalization of such illegal phenomena and concealing the lowest quality of education in certain schools.
However, your institution's role must be the opposite.
The tests for the school-leaving exams were printed at GTK printing house in Armenia and there are cameras installed there.
I ask you to provide the following information according to point b), Article 7 of the RA Law within the next 10 days:
1. Why isn't the prosecutor's office responding to articles about this criminal act?
2. What has the RA Prosecutor's Office done to reveal the mentioned crime?
The society demands an end to the lack of activities of your organization and the usual concealing of the crimes that throw down the country's reputation and terminate the functioning of civil society.
We anticipate the revelation of the crime, identification of the criminals and establishment of justice which will contribute to the restoration of society's confidence toward the government," as stated in the message.
