Poland will make all efforts
On June 22, Chairperson of the National Assembly Standing Committee on European Integration Naira Zohrabyan received Polish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Zdislav Rachinsky.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to Armenia's European integration, particularly the European Neighborhood Policy and "Eastern Partnership" program.
Chairperson of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration Naira Zohrabyan attached importance to the "Eastern Partnership" program as a tool for closer political and economic partnership with the European Union and expressed concerns about delaying the parliamentary format for partnership.
The Ambassador agreed with Mrs. Zohrabyan and attached importance to Poland's role in terms of promoting the four fundamental platforms for Eastern Partnership.
Mr. Rachinsky reaffirmed Poland's position, noting that Poland will make all efforts to promote the "Eastern Partnership" format and the parliamentary platform. The parties attached importance to the signing of an agreement on association with Armenia, which will lead to new prospects for economic and political association between Armenia and the European Union. Naira Zohrabyan raised the issue on visas to EU countries by making a reference to the Eastern Partnership Plan in which it is stated that "free mobility of citizens in a secure environment is one of the important components of Eastern Partnership". The Ambassador noted that Poland will make efforts to facilitate the issue of visas for students, scientists and representatives of some levels of society, as well as reducing the fee for visas.
At the end of the meeting, Poland's Ambassador to Armenia Zdislav Rachinsky officially invited Chairperson of the Standing Committee on European Integration Naira Zohrabyan to Poland on July 12, as reported by the Department of Information and Public Relations of the RA National Assembly.
