Serzh Sargsyan today received Foreign Minister of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb.
Serzh Sargsyan said that Armenia attaches importance to cooperation with Finland in bilateral and multilateral formats and expresses high appreciation of the country's active involvement in the solutions to issues in the South Caucasus since the collapse of the Soviet Union. The President noted that due to its impartial and constructive position, Finland has acquired great confidence and is a desired partner for Armenia.
Foreign Minister Stubb said that Finland is ready to realize new opportunities for expanding cooperation with Armenia. He mentioned that Finland is following the latest developments in the region with interest and asked the President to present Armenia's positions on them.
The parties shared the view that the best guarantee for ensuring sustainable peace and development in the South Caucasus is the solution to issues through dialogue and establishment of friendly relations, as reported by the presidential press service.
