Austrian Ambassador presents his credentials
The newly appointed Ambassador of Austria to Armenia, Michael Postl, presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.
President Sargsyan said Armenia attaches great importance to the relations with Austria in both bilateral and multilateral formats and voiced hope that the Ambassador would make an important contribution to the development of ties.
The Ambassador informed that the forthcoming visit of the Austrian Foreign Minister to Armenia aims to determine new programs of cooperation, especially in the fields of economy and culture.
President Sargsyan and Ambassador Postl exchanged views on Armenian-Turkish relations and the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. Serzh Sargsyan welcomed Austria's balanced position on the Karabakh issue.
Ambassador Postl reiterated Austria's willingness to support Armenia on its way to European integration, as well as in the processes of the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation and the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
