DigiTec Business-2010 open in Yerevan
Armenia's Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today participated in the opening ceremony of the 3rd annual DigiTec Business-2010 Forum Exhibition.
Greeting the participants, Minister Sargsyan emphasized the importance of the business forum and its effectiveness in the development of information technologies in Armenia.
The field of Information Technologies is a dynamically developing sphere, and year by year our compatriots feel the improvement of the quality of services and their increased accessibility. This is what the measures taken by the Government should be targeted at. Today we focus on a number of questions raised by specialists, which are put under the discussion at a public council adjacent to the head of the government," Tigran Sargsyan said in his opening remarks.
The Armenian premier visited the pavilions and got acquainted with the products and services of local and foreign manufacturers.
The Forum held under "Dialogue between Business and Technologies" has brought together local and international information technologies. It aims at promoting investment of the information and telecommunication technologies (ITT) in the sphere of economy, as well as presenting ITT products and services called to modernization of the economy and solution of current business problems.
The event includes DigiTec Business exhibition, seminars, round tables, consultations. This year 35 companies are participating in the forum.
Present at the opening ceremony was USAID Director, Dr Jatinder Chima.
