Armenian Patriarch receives Czech PM
His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos and Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians, received Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Jan Fischer who is in Armenia on an official visit.
Greeting the guest, His Holiness Karekin II presented the Czech diplomat the centuries-old activity of the Armenian Church and its current mission.
"The Armenian Church has structures in almost all angles of the world. We are hopeful that soon our compatriots will erect one in Czech as well, thus having their active participation in your country's development and prosperity," said the Armenian Patriarch.
Thanking His Holiness Karekin II for the warm reception, Prime Minister Jan Fischer detailed the aims of his visit at the same time highly appreciating the role of the Armenian community in Czech. Mr. Fischer highlighted the existence of Christian values and principles in Europe.
