Meeting in RA MFA
On May 14, 2010, RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Dr. Jacques Diouf, Director General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), who is in Armenia to participate in the 27th FAO Regional Conference for Europe.
Greeting the guest, Minister Nalbandian noted that "good traditions of effective cooperation between Armenia and FAO have been established over years."
Jacques Diouf praised the Armenian Government's resoluteness and efforts targeted at the successful implementation of the World Food Programme, and assured that that the FAO would continue contributing to the implementation of programmes in Armenia and to the development of the country's agriculture.
FAO Director General expressed gratitude to the Armenian authorities for organizing the regional conference in Yerevan on a high level.
