Issue of Atomic Energy Station was discussed
Serzh Sargsyan today received chairman of the Atomic Energy Security Council under the RA President Adolf Birkhofer (Germany).
Sargsyan praised Mr. Birkhofer's efforts aimed at secure exploitation of the Armenian Atomiic Energy Station. He also attached great importance to energetic security issues in general and particularly nuclear security.
Serzh Sargsyan also mentioned that the international community is focusing more on nuclear security issues and the best proof of that is the recent nuclear security summit held in Washington.
Adolf Birkhofer praised the Armenian government's activities of the past years aimed at secure exploitation of the Armenian Atomic Energy Station.
The parties discussed issues relating to the further exploitation of the Atomic Energy Station and the construction of a new energy block.
