Popov replaced Merzlyakov
On April 27, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan met with newly appointed OSCE Minsk Group Russian Co-Chair Igor Popov who will replace Yuri Merzlyakov.
Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandyan congratulated Popov on his appointment and expressed hope that he would make an important contribution to the process of settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Igor Popov expressed gratitude to the Minister for the warm wishes and assured that he would do everything possible to contribute to the conflict settlement.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the latest developments of the peace process. Igor Popov presented his impressions from the meetings with the Azerbaijani administration in Baku.
