A ceremony commemorating the 95th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held in Argentina at the initiative of the Argentine National Congress and Hay Dat Office of Southern America.

The event was attended by members of the Argentine Parliament, political and public figures, among them Claudio Morgado, President of the National Institute against Discrimination and Intolerance, Aldo Donzis, President of the Argentine Delegation of Israeli Associations, representatives of the Armenian community and journalists.

Present at the solemn event were Vladimir Karmirshalyan, Armenian ambassador to Argentina, and Gisak archbishop Muradian, head of the Argentinean diocese of Armenian Apostolic Church.

The speakers pointed out that over 30 governments, parliaments and international agencies (including Argentina) recognized the Armenian Genocide and condemned the masterminds and perpetrators. They urged the Turkish authorities to display political will and abandon their policy of Genocide denial.
