Armenian Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan "was angered" by the statement of Chief of RA Police according to which "any attempt of revolution will be curbed in the cradle."

"What does a revolution mean and how can they curb it? The Human Rights Declaration reads that people can rebel against a government if they think their rights are breached," said Mr. Harutyunyan and advised finding out what the Chief of Police meant by saying "revolution."

"Frequently, people mix the two notions - "coup" and "revolution." During a revolution the public pursues definite goals and cannot be stopped in any way," added the Ombudsman.
