“Coup attempt was carried out in Armenia”

Politics

Democratic Fatherland Party has adopted a resolution in its 8th congress which reads:

"Speculating the Karabakh issue and declaring a triumphant pose, the junta that illegally usurped power in 1998, adopted the tactic of "removing" all political and state figures from its way. The logical consequence of this policy was the parliamentary carnage of October 27, 1999.

Serving the interests of superpowers, the regime rigged elections for several years and formed a pseudo-democratic, totalitarian system. The regime's policy of the past 12 years led to an extreme social polarization.
The existence of state and civil society is endangered, the Constitution and laws are ignored, state institutions are disgraced, mass media have turned into a propaganda machine serving the interests of the regime.

The atmosphere of lawlessness, impunity and immorality continue to reign in the republic. Flattery, sycophancy, extortion, and cynicism are strongly encouraged.

The regime seeks to impose its internal style of relationship on the society, to destroy the germs of civil society and to form uniformly minded stooges.

The cynically rigged presidential election of 2008 raised a wave of mass resentment which threatened the pyramid of the gangster state.

The change of power was inevitable in the given circumstances. But soon illegal arrests of opposition activists and the massacre of March 1 started. To date, 14 political prisoners are kept in dungeons. In fact, a coup was carried out in the republic.

I reply, the authorities agreed on unilateral concessions on the Karabakh issue, in particular, the regime expressed willingness to return the liberated territories.

Democratic Fatherland Party finds that public solidarity and determination are the only way out of this situation. We need to restore constitutional order and form legal power in the country through a free and fair election."
