Pashinyan’s advocates hand in refusal
Advocates Vahe Grigoryan and Vahe Hovsepyan today refused to defend the interests of Haykakan Zhamanak's chief editor Nikol Pashinyan in the Constitutional Court.
"We submitted a refusal as the CC tried to make use of our participation in the judicial process and violate constitutional rights and freedoms of our client. We our client's interests," Vahe Grigoryan told A1+.
After the advocates' statement the court retired to decide its further steps.
The CC once again declined Pashinyan's request for being present at the hearing his appeal.
"Pashinyan's presence in the courtroom is necessary as he has numerous motions related to the study, acquisition and evaluation of evidence," said Vahe Grigoryan.
Remind that Pashinyan is challenging the results of a January 10 by-election in Yerevan's Constituency 10.
