Official visit to Javakhk
Patriarchal Delegate of Central Europe and Sweden, Archbishop Mesrop Grigoryan will be liberated from his obligations starting June 1, His Holiness, Supreme Patriarch, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II informed delegates at session of the High Spiritual Council.
Vice-prelate of the US Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Supreme Archimandrite Haykazun Najarian will be liberated from his obligations and will be appointed the new Patriarchal Delegate of Central Europe and Sweden (residence in Vienna, Austria).
Grand Sacristan of the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin, Bishop Ararat Galtakchyan has been liberated from his obligations and will soon take another office.
On April 18, there will be an Episcopal ordaining and anointment at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.
Archimandrite of the Mother See Artak Tigranyan, Diocesan Vicar of the Aragatsotni Diocese, Archimandrite Mkrtich Proshyan and director of the inter-ecclesiastical office of the Mother See, Archimandrite Hovakim Manukyan will receive Episcopal rankings. The Supreme Patriarch introduced the members of the council to the three candidates and considered them worthy of the ranking.
Inter-ecclesiastical relations correspondent of the Mother See, Archbishop Yeznik Petrosyan today informed council members that the Catholicos of All Armenians is scheduled to pay an official visit to Georgia to meet with Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgians Ilia II, after which His Holiness will be on a pastoral visit to the Georgian Armenian Diocese in Tbilisi and Javakhk.
