Turkish PM asks for meeting with RA President

Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian today received the special envoy of Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish Foreign Minister Deputy Undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioğlu.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the Armenian-Turkish peace deal.

Minister Nalbandian reiterated that Armenia is ready to ratify the Armenian-Turkish protocols without preconditions. Armenia expects Turkey to take practical steps in this direction, added the Armenian FM.

Feridun Sinirlioğlu visits President's residence

Today Feridun Sinirlioğlu conveyed verbal and written messages of the Turkish Premier to President Serzh Sargsyan, RA President's press office reports.

President Serzh Sargsyan stated that Armenia expects Turkey to take practical steps, which would ensure progress in the normalization of bilateral relations without any preconditions.

Envoy Feridun Sinirlioğlu, in turn, conveyed to the Armenian leader the Turkish side's assurances that Turkey is ready to ensure progress in the normalization process.

On behalf of the Turkish Premier, Feridun Sinirlioğlu asked the Armenian leader to hold a bilateral meeting in Washington.
