Haaga representative in Yerevan
Serzh Sargsyan today received Prosecutor General of the International Criminal Court of Haaga Luis Moreno-Ocampo who is in Armenia to take part in the 37th conference of the International Federation for Human Rights.
"The presence of well-experienced people who have participated in the condemnation of crimes against human rights and humanity is very important to us, especially since there are many talks about one of the most brutal crimes committed against humanity-the Armenian Genocide," said Sargsyan as he welcomed the guest.
Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo mentioned that their activities are aimed at defending human rights and one of the primary objectives is to prevent future genocides.
The head of state and the Prosecutor General of the International Criminal Court of Haaga discussed possibilities for cooperation and how the court can help Armenia be more defended.
