Who will accept the invitation from "Heritage"?
"Heritage party has addressed Armenia's HHK (Republican Party), "Bargavach Hayastan" (Prosperous Armenia), "Orinats Yerkir" (Country of Law), the Armenian Revolutionary Federation and the Armenian National Congress. The address is as follows:
"Heritage" party and an inclusive sector of the people, being strictly concerned about the dangerous developments of the normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the current threats, evaluate the created situation as the most dangerous threat to the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh since 1993.
In response to the foreign pressures on the Artsakh conflict and Turkish-Armenian relations, as well as Azerbaijan's threats for a new war, "Heritage" calls on the oppositional HAK (Armenian National Congress), the ARF and coalition parties (HHK, BHK and OEK) to create a new, non-formal political center in the format of a Round Table that will proportionally include the forces of the three opposition and three coalitional parties under low efficiency conditions of the parliament before the subsequent or special elections for the National Assembly.
We propose to create a round table without an initial agenda and then place all the major issues concerning the pro-government and oppositional forces on the table and come to terms on a number of issues without any preconditions. This can create prerequisites for ensuring the inter-social and inter-political unity in case of military operations, resist the opponent through combined efforts and promote democratic reforms.
The round table will be the first step toward functioning of a broader civil, political and spiritual format for national unity which will eventually engage the political forces and pivotal civil role-players of Armenia and Artsakh, as well as the representatives of the Mother Church and other major role-players. "Heritage" is planning to officially make a similar proposal to the above mentioned national organizations.
"Heritage" will soon officially address the leaders of HAK, ARF, HHK (Republican Party of Armenia), BHK (Prosperous Armenia) and OEK (Country of Law) to discuss this proposal and the issue of engaging the above mentioned circles," as stated in the statement by "Heritage" Party.
