Catholicos of All Armenians receives EPP President
His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received President of European People's Party (EPP) Wilfried Martens in Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
Greeting the guest, the Armenian Patriarch presented the history and role of the Armenian Church in the life of Armenians. He also dwelt on Christian values anchoring European culture.
Wilfried Martens, in his turn, spoke about the cooperation between the EPP and Christian churches and voiced hope that the meeting will deepen cooperation between the EPP and the Armenian Apostolic Church.
During the meeting reference was made to the Armenian-Turkish rapprochement and other regional issues.
