The vicinity of the Statue of MIasnikyan was empty today afternoon.

The deadly clashes between the demonstrators and riot police broke out near the statue later in the evening.

People's Party Leader Tigran Karapetyan was the first today to lay a wreath on the statue in commemoration of the victims of March 1.

Three girls laid violets on the memorial minutes ago. The girls had been presented with the flowers o the first day of spring but they found it wise to honour the victims' memory.

Note that the "Heritage" party will launch a march to the statue at 15:00 to honor the memory and to put wreath on the memorial of the victims of March 1.
