Things were rather heated during the hour of statements at the National Assembly today with sharp criticisms of the authorities, the opposition and the presses.
The one to start opening "fire" was Zaruhi Postanjyan who talked about the victims of the murders of March 1, violation of human rights and the constant infringements upon the dignity of RA citizens.

The next speech was against Zaruhi Postanjyan. Head of the ARF faction Vahan Hovhannisyan was simply amazed at the fact that the opposition's legitimacy, and not that of the authorities, can be called into question and turned into a topic for discussion at the Council of Europe which had to decide who the opposition is by a vote. "You wanted it to be determined by a vote, and it did," said Hovhannisyan, noting that those steps not only dishonored Armenia, but showed the illness that we suffer from.

Deputy of "Heritage" faction Armen Martirosyan presented who were humiliating the country and asked whether it were those who killed, those who demanded revelation of the murders, those who falsified elections, or those who fought against electoral violations and those who were sentenced for their political views.

In response to the activities of Zaruhi Postanjyan at the PACE, Edward Sharmazanov announced that the policy of bringing the big guy on Armenia has turned into a working style.

Representative of the Social-Democrat (Hunchakian) Party Vardan Khachatryan touched upon the presses and demanded a denial from the presses that are behind the walls of the university and see who is inside and how the security guards accompany him out of the university.

Representative of BHK (Prosperous Armenia) Naira Zohrabyan expressed concern over the information war which Armenia always loses and recalled that Aliyev's fund is spending millions of dollars on anti-propaganda, while the Armenian side is not giving an adequate response.

Ruben Gevorgyan made a unique statement. He was concerned about Turkish-Armenian relations and the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In regard to the latest scandal in Turkey, he said: "The Turks thought the world would listen to what they had to say, but they were wrong."

As for all attempts to tie the Turkish-Armenian relations with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, he said: "They don't understand that Artsakh is the spirit of Armenians. Our spirit is fighting for Artsakh."
