Police transferred to hospital
On January 18 at 6:30 p.m. an incident took place at the produce market of Malatia.
According to police, noticing a drunk man who was debating with citizens for no reason, Yerevan police officers Garnik T. and assistant sergeant Vachik G. tried to calm the man down and prevented his actions against the society.
But the contraband attacked the policemen with the knife and struck them at the chest and hands.
Albert Hovsepyan (born in 1939) was arrested and taken to the Malatia police division.
The policemen were transferred to the "Malatia" medical center and preliminary investigation is underway.
