Earthquake near Yerevan
A 2,9-magnitude earthquake struck Armenia on January 17 at 5:05 p.m. local time, RA National Survey for Seismic Protection of Armenia reports.
The epicenter of 4-magnitude quake was near Garni village.According to the NSSP report, the quakes were felt in Yerevan and Abovyan.
No victims and causalities are reported.
A 3.6 magnitude earthquake hit 10 kilometers north of Garni on January 18, 2009, with the magnitude at the epicenter measuring 5 on the Richter scale.
