RA Parliament does not hurry to ratify Protocols
Armenian Parliament doesn't hurry to ratify the Armenian-Turkish Protocols.
On January 12, 2010, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia found the Protocols conformable to the country's Organic Law. On January 13, the CC sent its decision to RA President's residence.
"President Serzh Sargsyan hasn't yet forwarded the documents to the National Assembly for further ratification. Besides, the law doesn't set any deadlines for the ratification of international agreements by the parliament," President's Spokesman Samvel Farmanyan told A1+ .
Samvel Farmanyan doubted to say when the documents will be sent to the National Assembly.
Spokeswoman for the NA Speaker, Naira Petrosyan sees no need for convening an extraordinary sitting which means the Protocols will likely be put under consideration during the spring session.
