“I didn’t think of my skin”
Marxist Party Leader David Hakobyan who was running in yesterday's parliamentary by-election says he has given all his votes to his rival Nikol Pashinyan.
"My experience allows me to announce that the election results are striking. I have tried my best to do good to Nikol Pashinyan. I don't want Armenia to have political prisoners and I wish Nikol to return to his family as soon as possible," David Hakobyan told A1+.
"During the election I didn't think of my skin. I am pleased with my behaviour. In an Armenian election I garnered 18 000 votes at electoral district 41 of Ijevan-Shamshadin. This means that this time I didn't think about myself and I wanted to do a favor to Nikol," added the Marxist leader who gained 299 votes at the Sunday vote.
David Hakobyan promises to give an assessment on the vote in two days after he has made an in-depth analysis.
"I am not interested in a parliamentary seat which I shall enjoy for two years. I think that I have made a humanitarian step. My sympathy towards Nikol can be seen from the election results," concluded Mr. Hakobyan.
