Armenia and UAE hold two-stage consultations
December 24-25 the first consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates were held in Yerevan.
The Armenian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakosyan and the UAE delegation by First Deputy Foreign Minister Tarek Al Heidan.
The consultations were held in two stages. The first was dedicated to political, regional and international issues. The second stage covered issues of trade-economic and educational-cultural cooperation.
The political discussions focused on political relations between Armenia and UAE. The parties appreciated the existing ties and expressed willingness to further develop and deepen those.
Reference was made to regional issues as well. The parties exchanged views on issues of the Middle East and attached importance to their solution in a peaceful way.
During the second stage of the consultations the delegations discussed the bilateral trade-economic relations, including issues of cooperation in the fields of agriculture, science and technology, education and science.
The delegation of he United Arab Emirates had meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan and Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan.
Today the UAE delegation was received by RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
