Case forwarded to Yerevan Investigation Department
Erebouni Criminal Investigation Department has forwarded the case of Mariam Sukhudian, a youth movement activist of S.O.S Tegout, to the Yerevan Investigation Department.
"Thus, we can say that the charges filed against Sukhudian are groundless and the case has been taken into production anew," Advocate Liparit Sominyan told A1+.
Sukhudian's advocates had appealed to Erebouni Criminal Investigation Department with a request to dismiss the case.
The fact that the case has been forwarded to the Yerevan Investigation Department is viewed as progress by Liparit Sominyan. He doesn't doubt that all charged will be finally quashed and the real criminals will be brought before court.
Remind that Mariam Sukhudian faces up to 5 years imprisonment after alleging cases of child abuse in a Yerevan boarding school. She was accused of "false denunciation" which later changed into slander.
