In accordance with his promise parliamentary candidate Hmayak Hovhannisyan will withdraw from the election race on December 27 in favour of Nikol Pashinyan.

He will submit an application of withdraw with the Central Election Commission on December 28.
Hmayak Hovhannisyan urges the other candidates to follow his example.

"I deny unequal conditions in all spheres of life. I will betray my principals If I stay in the race," Hmayak Hovhannisyan told A1+.

"Before my withdrawal I shall urge my electorate to vote for Pashinyan. After that I think Pashinyan will win the elections since we shall enjoy the majority of votes together. On January 10 the Central Election Commission will simply have to reconfirm Pashinyan's victory over his contenders."

Though Mr. Hovhannisyan is confident of Pashinyan's victory he signals to criminal groupings in Constituency 10 sponsored by Mayor Gagik Beglaryan, a relative of one of the candidates.

Hmayak Hovhannisyan meant Ara Simonyan, member of the National Unity Party. "This candidate is unknown to public. He is known as the son of Artashes Geghamyan's driver and Gagik Beglaryan's kinsman. He is not known in political circles."

The authorities will do a great favour to Levon Ter-Petrosyan if they rig the elections in favour of this nonentity. Everyone will see the regress of the recent years as compared to the 90s. During Ter-Petrosyan's tenure only his rivals were elected and the authorities always abstained from election fraud," recalled Hmayak Hovhannisyan.
