Agreement signed
The 4th session of the Russian-Armenian inter-governmental commission on military-technical partnership was held on December 14-17 in Yerevan and it was headed by the co-chairs of the commission, RA Deputy Minister of Defense Alik Mirzabekyan and vice-director of the Russian Federation's federal service for military-technical partnership Konstantin Biryulin.
Issues discussed during the session were related to further development of the Russian-Armenian military and military-technical partnership. Within the framework of the session, on December 16 Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan and vice-director of Russia's federal service for military-technical partnership, co-chair of the Russian-Armenian inter-governmental commission on military-technical partnership Konstantin Biryulin signed an agreement on "Partnership between the Governments of the RA and the RF for exporting products of military significance to third-world countries."
In his speech preceding the signing ceremony, Defense Minister S. Ohanyan underlined that the signing of the agreement between the Russian and Armenian governments is of important significance for deepening of the Russian-Armenian military partnership and will contribute to the strengthening of the armed forces of both countries, as reported by the department of information and public relations of the RA Ministry of Defense.
