Chairman of the Mili Mejlis of Azerbaijan Ogtay Asadov is planning to address U.S. President Barack Obama and the U.S. Congress.

The Mili Mejlis of Azerbaijan is complaining about the U.S. Congress's December 8 decision on providing assistance to Nagorno-Karabakh.

"Although the Congress decided to provide assistance to the Armenian community of Nagorno-Karabakh, the document has not been ratified by the U.S. President. That is why we must create a committee and address Barack Obama and the Congress," Asadov announced.

The decision on assistance to Nagorno-Karabakh was established in the U.S. budget for fiscal year 2010. "If the U.S President ratifies the decision, it will be seen as support to separatists," Asadov declared.

The committee of the Mili Mejlis, which plans to send a note to the U.S. President, includes seven deputies. The letter addressed to Obama will be ready today. Asadov will definitely mention that 20% of Azerbaijan's territory is seized and is under the control of Armenian forces.
