"Feast in Time of Plague"
The Armenian National Congress (HAK) and Heritage were not invited to the 12 Congress of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) devoted to the necessity of dialogue and tolerance between political parties.
HAK's senior representative Levon Zurabian assessed HHK's decision in one word - positively.
Regarding Serzh Sargsyan's speech at the congress, Zurabyan said: "Feast in Time of Plague."
"If the Republican found it expedient to hold a congress in this format, it is upon the party. They cannot invite the Heritage to their congress but they must at least make their deeds compliant with their words," said Chairman of the Heritage Faction Armen Martirosyan.
The latter is most concerned over Serzh Sargsyan's speech at the congress.
"The speech would sound impressive if we didn't live in a country where permissiveness and unlawfulness reign everywhere. Serzh Sargsyan's speech is cut off from reality as was the prime minister's speech on the budget. The speech couldn't instill inspiration in an ordinary citizen who perfectly sees everything around him," says Armen Martirosyan.
"In his speech President Sargsyan was to have referred to the causes of March 1-2 events in Yerevan City. Everyone thinks that the deadly clashes were resulted by injustice in all spheres of life and authorities should bear responsibility for their consequences.
