National doctrine to be worked out

                       A National Civil Defense Doctrine will be worked out in line with the National Security Strategy and the Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP).

During today's sitting chaired by the Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia, Arthur Baghdasaryan, the interdepartmental commission decided to submit the Doctrine to the National Assembly for ratification in May 2010.
The adoption of the Doctrine envisages the assessment of the current state of civil defense, formation of a civil defense system corresponding to international standards, improvement of the crisis-management.
A regional crisis-management center will be established in Yerevan, which will later have regional divisions.
