Prime Minister to participate in Telethon
The RA government today held a session headed by RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. Before starting the agenda, the Prime Minister reminded that the "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund has organized a fund-raising Telethon with the theme of Shushi and the restoration in Shushi.
"I think that you will share my view that the restoration of Shushi is an issue of national dignity for us. With that respect, we are all obliged to participate in the Telethon. By making our personal contributions, we will guide our family and friends to show active participation. My family and I will also participate in the Telethon and make our investment. All government officials here must set an example and encourage their fellow co-workers and friends. Let us agree that it is our personal duty to participate in the Telethon. I would like you to transmit this to your staffs," he said.
At the price of money that wasn't used
The government decided to redistribute the 2009 state budget and make a change in one of the previous resolutions to include the expenses foreseen by the funding contract signed by the Republic of Armenia and the International Development Association. They are foreseen to be implemented at the price of funding and loan resources that will not be used by November 30, 2009 (by way of redistribution).
Terminated powers
The government decided to terminate the powers of the heads of the Jajuravan rural district of the Shirak Marz and the Aygavan rural district in the Ararat Marz and hold special elections. The government has assigned the RA Minister of Finance to grant money to the RA Central Electoral Commission and the RA Police for that purpose.
