Will stay friend of Armenia
Serzh Sargsyan met today with UN Resident Coordinator, UNDP Permanent Representative to Armenia Consuelo Vidal who is ending her diplomatic mission in Armenia.
The President expressed gratitude for her activities during the past four years and for supporting Armenia's development programs. Attaching great importance to the programs being implemented by different UN agencies, President Sargsyan said:
"It is not only about financial resources, but the experience, engagement and opportunity of being compared."
In her turn, Consuelo Vidal expressed gratitude for the UNDP-Armenia partnership and said that she is leaving Armenia with wonderful impressions and will continue to be a friend of Armenia.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the proportional development of RA territories and issues relating to the organizing of next year's census. The UN Resident Coordinator said that Armenia's example was interesting in that despite the huge impact of the global economic crisis, social projects have remained.
