Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
RA Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Ghazinyan received Secretary General of the European Movement International, Diogo Pinto.
Welcoming the guest, Deputy Minister Ghazinyan praised the contribution of the European Movement International to advocacy of European values and the creation of a united Europe.
In his turn, Secretary General Pinto attached importance to Armenia's consistency with integration in European organizations, emphasizing the role of the European Movement of Armenia in advocating European values and issues.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the EU Eastern Partnership program, mentioning that it has great potential for the development of cooperation between the European Union and the member countries, as well as multilateral cooperation in the region. In that context, Deputy Minister Ghazinyan emphasized that the program gives Armenia a chance to get closer to the Europe and that the new level of cooperation must not be used as a platform for the discussion of conflicts, but must serve as a firm basis for broadening and strengthening further cooperation.
In the meeting the sides also touched upon the process of normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations, as well as exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.
