Italian President invited to Armenia
Armenia's Ambassador to Italy Ruben Karapetian handed over his credentials to Italy's President Giorgio Napolitano.
Following the ceremony, President Giorgio Napolitano noted that Armenia is Italy's important partner with RA-Italian friendship lasting for centuries. Ambassador Karapetian, in his turn, underlined Armenia's readiness to shift the bilateral relations to a new level.
On behalf of President Serzh Sargsyan, Ambassador Karapetian invited Giorgio Napolitano to Armenia.
Upon the request of the Italian President, Ruben Karapetian briefed on the latest developments in the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations and negotiations over the Karabakh conflict.
Wishing success to the Armenian Ambassador, President Napolitano voiced hope that he would contribute to the deepening and development of the Armenian-Italian relations.
