On October 24 Moscow's Alfa Hotel will host the 34th conference of communists of the former USSR countries.

"Genady Zyuganov, Leader of the Russian Communist Party, is expected to make a speech at the conference. Following the conference, the participants will elect new members," says Ruben Tovmasyan, First Secretary of the Armenian Communist Party.

According to Azerbaijani mass media, Armenian and Azerbaijani communists will discuss the current phase of Armenian-Turkish relations.

Mr. Tovmasyan refuted the fabricated information saying: "No separate meetings are scheduled during the conference. Azerbaijan has no connection to Armenian-Turkish ties," Ruben Tovmasyan told A1+.

The First Secretary of the Armenian Communist Party reiterated the party's stance on the Protocols on establishing diplomatic relations between Armenia and Turkey: "We are against the normalisation of relations."

"The Armenian Communist Party cannot accept the relations neglecting a number of key issues," added Mr.  Tovmasyan.
