Turks may not sign Protocols
Armenian Assembly of America Country Director for Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh Arpi Vartanian thinks the protest actions amid Serzh Sargsyan's pan-Armenian tour have been organised by the minority.
Highlighting Mr. Sargsyan's initiative, Arpi Vartanian says effective mechanisms were to be elaborated for Armenia-Diaspora collaboration the lack of which was felt at the beginning of the tour.
"I am confident that the Protocols on normalisation of Armenian-Turkish relations will not break Armenia-Diaspora relations, rather, the process will strengthen the ties.
"It's not ruled out that the Protocols will not be signed or ratified by the two parliaments. Let us not forget that both Turks and Azerbaijanis oppose to the process and have already voiced their concerns and fears," she said.
Remind that the Assembly is for the bilateral Protocols.
