Serzh Sargsyan visited policemen
President Serzh Sargsyan visited the RA Police educational center and the Police Academy today to get acquainted with the training of policemen. He was accompanied by RA Chief of Police Alik Sargsyan.
At the police educational center, which is mainly involved in preparation and training, junior and middle commanders take courses on preliminary preparation and training. Serzh Sargsyan toured the center, which has been renovated and rearmed with active support by the OSCE Office in Yerevan over the past couple of years.
The head of state was introduced to the work in progress. It was mentioned that serious steps are being taken to improve the education of policemen, improve the methods of instruction and introduce new technologies and leading methods of instruction by studying the experience of other countries.
The President also toured the Police Academy and got acquainted with the instruction. Serzh Sargsyan assigned the task of foreseeing funds from next year's budget to renovate the academy building.
President Sargsyan also visited the police regiment for patrol guards.
