"The film is about what happened to us starting from 1987 when "ASSA-1" was shown," said renowned Russian film director, producer Sergey Solovev to "A1+" as he talked about the showing of "2-ASSA-2" film in Yerevan.

The film "2-ASSA-2" is the sequel to the film "ASSA-1" shown in 1987 and has been modified in the past 20 years. "I can't say that what happened to us was good and beautiful. I also can't say that it was horrible. Of course, the real story is sad, but we all know about that and have adapted to that," says the Russian film director.

The film director calls "2-ASSA-2" a film about a film in which the heroes reveal the spirit of time and the characteristics of people's psychology. The main character is a criminal, but she has the opportunity to play the role of Anna Karenina in a film. This was significant for her because Tolstoy's heroine was familiar to her. Anna's role is played by Tatyana Drubich, who is Sergey Solovev's wife.

The film was shown to a full audience at the "Moscow" cinema and as Sergey Solovev mentioned, the world premier of the film was at the Mikhailovyan Theater in St. Petersburg. But the showing in Yerevan was one of the first. "It is a pleasure to see my films shown in Yerevan. I have premiered my films for the first time in Yerevan," said Solovev.

As for collaboration with Armenian filmmakers, according to Solovev, he doesn't have any plans yet.

"I don't know about the collaboration yet because there haven't been any talks."

However, as Solovev says, he has plans in Armenia. "I want to come to Armenia with my friend Roman Balayan again. This is my major plan."

He wants Armenian filmmakers to keep the love of making movies alive and says that the most important thing is to keep the love of the audience alive as well.
