Luara Hairapetian will represent Armenia at the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Kyev November 21.

The song, "Barcelona" was chosen by SMS voting and a professional jury. Little Luara wrote the song inspired by the football team Barcelona. The whole family was delighted with the team's success and shouted "Hurrah! Barcelona!"

Six other children had qualified for the Armenian semifinals.  Weeks ahead of the semifinals Luara Hairapetian was said to become the winner.

Diana Mnatsakanian, Consultant to Public TV for the special projects, dispelled the rumours. "It is impossible. But if you still have doubts you can apply to ArmenTel and VivaCell and look through the voters' list."

She gave no more details.

Note that the Junior Eurovision features 13 countries, including Armenia.
