Is it real?
The Golden Apricot International Film Festival kicked off on July 12.
The opening ceremony was held at the Moscow Cinema. Both the cinema and its surrounding were overcrowded.
The festival was due at 7:00 but the audience was let in only after the arrival of Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglarian.
People having blue invitations, mostly journalists, weren't let into the red hall where the festival guests were seated. They watched the opening ceremony on a large screen in the blue hall. Note that, Armenian noted producer Hrach Keshishian was also in the blue hall.

The festival was opened by director Laurent Tuel's film "First Period" produced by Alain Terzian.
French noted actor Jean Renault stars in the film and plays the part of an Armenian criminal. The film is about an Armenian Mafioso family which is identified with the Italian mafia.
At the end of the film a viewer said angrily: "How could you introduce Armenians in this way? Is it real?"
