Armenia and Brazil have no disagreements
The newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Brazil to Armenia Maria Nicodemos presented her credentials to Serzh Sargsyan on July 10.
According to Serzh Sargsyan, there are at least four preconditions which allow expanding Armenian-Brazilian cooperation. In particular, the two countries have no disagreements.
Brazil is a powerful country with a powerful economy, and the two countries produce goods that could be in demand at each other's markets. At last, the Brazilian Armenian community is a serious bridge between the two countries under question.
Ambassador Nicodemos noted with satisfaction that Brazil was the first Latin American country to open an Embassy in the South Caucasus, namely in Armenia, and her country intends to take practical steps to develop the existing cooperation. The diplomat specially underlined the contribution of the small Brazilian Armenian community to the development of that cooperation.
The parties agreed that the commodity turnover between Armenia and Brazil had remarkably increased over the past years and highlithed further steps in that direction.
Serzh Sargsyan hailed the effective cooperation between the two countries within international organizations and the balanced position of Brazil on sensitive issues of our region.
Mr. Sargsyan also voiced full support to Mrs. Maria Nicodemos during her mission in Armenia.
