Already five hunger strikers
The Youth Council of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) has set up an initiative group which is to coordinate the complaints lodged against the arrest of Tigran Arakelian, an activist of the Congress's youth wing detained on July 6, 2009.
Remind that the Chairperson of the HHSh's youth wing, Karen Karapetian, has gone on a hunger strike since July 7 in support of Tigran Arakelian.
Four other people-Arakel Semirjian, Narek Aivazian, Sargis Gevorgian and Sargis Khachatrian joined the hunger strike.
Chairperson of the HHSh's youth wing, Karen Karapetian, informed A1+ that he had been visited only by police representatives.
Yesterdays evening they looked in to know my demands. Then they reported to someone on the telephone and went away. Today they showed up again, put down the names of other strikers and left. The ambulance hasn't visited us," said Karen Karapetian.
