Armenian PM meets with Georgian President
Armenia's Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian today had a meeting with Georgia's President Mikheil Saakashvili. Discussed were issues related to the reinforcement of economic ties between the two countries, deepening of cooperation in different spheres, the perspectives of development of scientific-educational and cultural ties.
The parties noted that the deepening of economic cooperation and the implementation of joint projects would help mitigate the negative influence of the global crisis on the economies of the two neighbor countries.
The Armenian Prime Minister attached importance to the uninterrupted work of the communication routes passing through Georgian territory, noting that it was of great importance for our country.
The Armenian Government's press service reports that the meeting was held in a warm atmosphere.
Remind that in the meantime a protest action was staged near the Armenia Marriott Hotel where Mikheil Saakashvili was staying.
