Jailed MPs set free
Armenian parliament deputies Miasnik Malkhasian and Hakob Hakobian facing separate trials on charges of organising "mass disturbances" on March 1-2, 2008, were released from the General Jurisdiction Court of Kentron and Nork Marash Districts as a result of the amnesty. Verdicts were announced in different courtrooms at the same time.
The two parliamentarians immediately started for Abovyan to attend jailed opposition MP Sasun Mikaelian's trial due at 11.00 a.m.
