Wheat wasn’t distributed to the needy
Twenty economies of the Gharbjanyan district of the Shirak Marz received 3,000 kilograms of wheat fertilizer for the fall.
Meanwhile, according to the UN program "Within the framework of the initiative against sharp inflation of foods produced in enclosures", each of the economies had to receive 150 kilograms of wheat.
According to the information released by the Prosecutor General's press service, leader of the Gharibjanyan district M. Poghosyan has committed official fraud while distributing the wheat.
"On August 28, 2008 and September 25, 2008 compiled false registration during the session of elders of the district, after which M. Poghosyan gave each economy 100 kilograms. Poghosyan distributed the rest of the wheat to other economies not included in the UN program. In September 2008 Poghosyan presented the false documents to the Shirak regional council," as stated in the press release of the Prosecutor General's office.
The investigative department of the Shirak Police Akhuryan division brought up a case against based on Part 1, Article 314 of the Criminal Code and preliminary investigation is underway.
