Countries are free to qualify
The Junior Eurovision 2009 is scheduled for November 21, in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Countries are already preparing their national selections but so far none of them has qualified for the song contest.
Armenia will participate at the Junior Eurovision for the third time.
"Arevik" group represented Armenia at the Junior Eurovision in 2007. The group took the second place with its song "Erazank" (Dream). Last year another Armenian representative, Monika Manucharova took the eighth place with the song "Im Ergi Hnchyun" (Sound of My Song).
Songs should be of 2:30-2:45-minute duration, no more, reports Diana Mnatsakanyan, advisor to chief executive of Armenian Public Television on special projects.
Applications must be submitted by June 22.
