Beglaryan to swear in on June 11
Yerevan's Council of Elders today held its first sitting. The Council didn't elect a mayor today.
As long as the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) had gained more than 50 percent of votes during the Yerevan municipal election, HHK's mayoral candidate Gagik Beglaryan was recognized elected.
The Council today made two unanimous decisions.
The new mayor will swear in at 11.00 June11 at 1 Atgishti, Yerevan.
The Elders' Council is scheduled to convene its first session at 11.00 June 23.
