It’s dead and there’s nobody to bury it
The May 31 elections for Yerevan's Council of Elders allow member of "Heritage" Stepan Safaryan to announce that "the electoral system in Armenia has died and there is nobody to bury it."
According to him, it is not an honor for international observers to evaluate the elections that took place through terror, assaults, ballot stuffing and fraud as elections that correspond to international standards.
"After these elections, the current president must draw serious conclusions and take his speech at the National Assembly as a basis. The Republican Party's victory that swept political parties and the society can not register the elections as normal."
Who were the major falsifiers? In response to this, Stepan Safaryan said:
"It is clear that the key players on May 31 were the district authorities under the name of the ruling parties. If the people vote for the Republican Party for money, it is time for the ruling party to make an announcement on the country that it is ruling and the electorate."
Stepan Safaryan doesn't think that things would change or the authorities would announce different results if "Heritage" were to take part t in the May 31 elections.
